ENCLOSURE 1 NOTICE OF VIOLATION

'

Duke Power Company Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 McGuire Nuclear Station License Nos. NPF-9 and NPF-17 The following violations were identified during an inspection conducted on May 21 - June 20, 1985. The Severity Levels were assigned in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C). Technical Specification 6.8.1.a requires that current written approved procedures be established, implemented, and maintained covering safety related activities that include safety injection system operation and shif t turnove ,

Contrary to the above: The Unit 1 personnel airlock inner interlock key switch was not returned to the active position on December 9, 1984, as required by the Personnel Airlock Operations procedur On June 12, 1985, the Unit I and Unit 2 shift supervisor's Turnover 1 Checklist page 3 was not completed or followed during shift turnover in that the shift crew composition was not identified as require I On June 6, 1985, Unit 2 procedure OP-2-A-6200-06, Safety Injection System, was found to have valve 2N1-162, the safety injection discharge cold leg isolation valve, listed as the minimum flow valv This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement I). CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion XVI as implemented by Duke Power Company (DPC) Topical Report, Quality Assurance Program Duke-1-A,
