Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on May 11, 1979 with those persons indicated in Paragraph I above.

Licensee Action on Previous Insr-ction Findings Unresolved item 395/79-02: Protection of cable raceways. The licensee has performed the following actions.

Revision 2 has been issued to procedure WP-XII-01, " Cable Pulling".

Craft personnel have been briefed on cable tray requirements at c.

safety meetings.

Revision 2 to Procedure WP-XII-01 was not considered adequate because this revision authorizes one person to be in a tray section under difficult conditions, but does not address the potential damage to installed cables which could result. This item will remain unresolved pending licensee completion of action and future inspection.

Licensee Identified Items (50.55;c))

(0 pen) Item 395/79-02-01:

Insufficient cable slack to class 1E electrical equipment. The licensee has issued nonconformance notice 640E for this item and completed a QC inspection on all applicable cable that had been terminated before January 8, 1979. Of the cables identified as having

insuf ficient slack during ti.e inspection, there are 14 remaining which require final inspection and replacement, if necessary.

This item will remain open pending licansee completion of wc rk and future inspection.

Inspector Follow-up Items (0 pen) Item 395/79-09-01:

Separation conflict documentation. Revision 4 to procedure FQCP 7.1.6, " Installation of exposed conduit and conduit supports" has been issued for review and comment.

This item will remain open pending licensee concpletion of resolution and action.

(Closed) Item 395/78-30-02:

In-place storage and house keeping. The licensee has closed Construction Action Request (CAR) 041 based on corrective actions, taken by the contractor and results of recent licensee surveillances.

Corrective actions included the following.

Procedure DCC CAP VIII-03, " Cleaning, Handling and Preservation",

A surveillance group has be<.a established to inspect plant areas twice daily and to ensure that required periodic preventive maintenance is performed and documented on the Plant Equipment Maintenance Log (PEML).

The surveillance group also ensures that equipment is adequately protected and preserved.

The in place storage of safety-related 7200 volt switchgear identified as XSW-IDB-ES, 480 volt load center identified as XSW-1DB2-ES, and three motor operated valves were observed to meet procedural requirements.

This item is closed.

Independent Inspection Effort The installation of safety-related 7200 volt switchgear XSW-IDB-ES and 480 volt load center XSW-IDB2-ES circuit breakers were inspected to ensure that installations were in accordance with the following drawings.
