Inspector Followup Item (IFI) (Units 1 and 2)
(Closed) IFI 50-327/78-27-03 and 50-328/78-21-03: Training. This iteia is discussed in IE Report 50-327/79-36 and 50-328/79-21. The Office of Engineering Design and Construction (OEDC) QA staff has met with the design office management and agreed on a program and timetable to correct the deficient training areas identified as deficiencies in OEDC QA Audit M78-5 6.

TVA has reported a number of icems to Region II as reportable items in compliance with 10 CFR 50.55(e). The Region II inspector reviewed the items listed below and the supporting documentation, and discussed the items with responsible licensee staff (site and design organizations)

The licensee has determined the anchorages installed on site are adequate based on a review conducted in accordance with guidelines developed by the TVA Civil Engineering Branch. The inspector reviewed these guide-lines with the design engineer who developed them.

The inspector observed work in progress on the Unit I support in accordance with work plan 4929. Final inspection and acceptance of this item for Unit I will be accomplished through ecmpletion of the above work plan. The status of this item, which is required to be completed prior to fuel loading (Unit 1), will be indicated on the Outstanding Work Items List (0WIL). Work on Unit 2 has not started but will be accomplished in accordance with a work package that will reference the drawing as revised by the above SMR.

Inadequate Design cf Three Quarter Inch Test Lines on Safety Injection Header.
The inspector reviewed the TVA final report dated August 22, 1979, the closed NCR SWP 79-S-9, ECN 2517, drawing 47W435-6 RIS, drawing 47W435-10 RIO, FCR T-143 and Unit I work plan 4851. The inspector observed work in progress to modify the Unit 1 test lines in Accumulator Room #4. Final inspection and acceptance of this item will be accomplished through completion of the above work plan. The status of this item, which is required to be completed prior to fuel loading (Unit 1), will be indicated on the OWIL. Work on Unit 2 has not started but will be done in accordance with drawing series 47W435 as revised by ECN 2517.

Cable Separation Criteria. The inspector reviewed the TVA final report dated September 13, 1979, the closed NCR 1780 and ECN 2600. Work is in progress t.o correct this item which affects common (Unit I and Unit 2) panel 0-M-27A. The final inspection and acceptance of this item will be in accordance with work plan 4992. Work and inspection is required to be completed on this item prior to fuel loading. The status of completion is monitored through the 0WIL.
