Fire Protection Plan Circuit Relocation Certrifugal Charging Pumps (Unit 1 and 2)
a.
The licensee has completed the relocation of the following circuits IPL4742B, IPL4743B, IPL4748B, 2PL4742B, 2PL4743B and 2PL4748B as required by drawing 45N024-1, Revision 24.
This drawing was issued en engineering change notice (ECN) 2461. The work had been inspected by the licensee QC and accepted.
The licensee commitments are identified in Table 1.2 of Revision 3 of the Fire Protection Review. The instal-lation was inspected to assure that the minimum twenty feet separation was achieved.
It was noted that a fire resistive wall was installed between the A and B pumps.
b.
Reciprocal Charging Pump (Unit 1)
The licensee has relocated the following circuits IPL5025, IPL5026, IPL3021 and IPL3023. This work was included in ECN 2361 and Draw-ing 45N822-1 Revision 14, 45N822-6 Revision 23, 45N822-7 Revision 26, 45N826-Z Revision 15, 45N826-9 Revision 27, 45N828-2 Revision 24 and
.
45N828-8 Revision 20.
The installation was examined to assure com-pliance with the resolution listed in Table 1.2 of Revision 3 of the Fire Protection Review. The resolution requires that the circuits maintain a minimum of 20 feet separation from Train A.
The inspector identified that circuit IPL5025 crosses about six inches above a A Train tray. This installation is installed in conformance to the design drawings. The design drawings did not implement the resolution.
The licensee contacted design engineering at Knoxville to try to get a clarification of the ECN intent. Design engineering stated that the word redundant is cmitted from the Resolution and will be corrected in revision 4.
Design Engineering stated that there are no redundant A train cable relative to the B train for the reciprocal charging pump and the design drawings do not reflect a separation problem.
Design stated that revision four of the fire protection review will correct this item. This item is an Inspector Followup Item. This item will be identified as 327/79-60-1 Insufficient Circuit Separation.
Other than the Inspector Followup Item identified above there were no items of noncompliance identified.
7.
Instrumentation (Components and Systems)
Observation of Work and Work Activities (Unit 2)
The inspector selected three instruments which were being installed to assure that the requirements of the QAM and and drawing 47W600-132 Revision 4 were being complied with in the areas of piping installation, mounting and protection. The instruments selected were 2FIS-70-81, 2FT-70-81B on panel 2L-390 and 2FT-70-81B-A on panel 2L289. The licensee engineer noted i664 022

that the sensing lines to panel 2L-290 were not routed as shown on the weld map and there was an apparent channel conflict between the panels. The licensee noted that the installation was in work and had not been inspected by QC. The licensee has initiated Work Release R6819 to rework the sense lines. This will be an inspector followup item pending the correction of the sensing lines. The item will be identified as 328/79-29-01 sensing line separation.
Within the areas examined, there were no items of noncompliance identified.
