SUMMARY Inspection on April 25-27, 1979 Areas Inspected This routine, unannounced inspection involved twenty one inspector-hours onsite in the areas of electrical fire stop installation and quality records. Inspector followup items, licensee identified items, and NCR review.
Results Of the areas inspected, no apparent items of noncompliance or deviations were ider.ti fied.

New unresolved item identified dtring this inspection is discussed in paragraph 5.
5.
Independent Inspection Effort The inspactors reviewed nonconformance reports (NCR) which were open from Nos. 1500 to 1616.
It was roted that instrument sensing line separation appears t-be the subject of NCR's which are dispositioned as
"use as is" and corcurred with by design.
The separation problems do not ;ppear to b3 ajequately reviewed. This item is unresolved and will be identified as 327/79-26-01 and 328/79-13-01 (Nonconformance review by desigu on NCR's relating to instrument sensing lines). Documentation of the design review of the NCRS will be examined further.
Within the areas examined there were no items of concompliance or deviations identified.

(Closed) 327/78-24-02 and 328/7819-02 Inadvertent operation o'. the Cardox fire system in the diesel generator building. The licensee has completed the investigation and issued a report. The repart is comprehensive, Jetails immediate corrective action, and describ3s actions to prever.t recurrence. The inspector has no further questions.

(Closed) 327/78 38-06 Sump valves failed to open Juring aatomatic switchover testing. The licensee has completed the work on Unit I under Work Olan 1006 which has been signed by QC and engineering.
Construction ins'.;11ed the cables required by Work Plan 1262. Work is completed and accepted. This item is closed for Unit 1.
c.
(Open) 328/78-27-06 Sump valves fail to open during automatic switch over testieg. The work on this ites is incomplete at this time.

The final inspector signoff was examined for completed seals a-i, k g and v-z.
It was noted that 7 seals had been breached for new cables. The bre. h'ng was noted on the records.
The work and resealing of the bre ached seals is proceeding.
The installation of flammastic 77 flame ret;rdant material is covered oy the referenced procedures. Seven trays examined in the spreading room. The trays examined were NX, XZ11 XE XYI, MG, MH, a nd P0. The flamemastic application is an ongoing operation.
Within the ares examined there were no items of noncompliance identified.
