The inspectica involved six inspector hours on site by one NRC inspector.

Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements within the two areas examined during the inspection.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings Not inspected.

Exit Interview An exit interview was held on November 15, 1979, with those persons indicated in Paragraph 1 above. The inspection findings were presented as indicated below. The inspector's observations of vital area door mountings found them to be provided with astragals as indicated in the licensee's letter to RII, dated October 15, 1979. It was also found that the licensee responds to and records vital area intrusion alarm annunciations.

MC81155B Response On November 14, 1979, the inspector interviewed the on shift operator of the Central Alarm Station to determine the operator's familarity with the vital area intrusion detection system. Time was also spent during this period observing the operator perform her duties as alarm station operator to include dispatching guards to alarmed points and recording alarm annun-ciations.

On November 15, 1979, the inspector reviewed the vital area alarm record for the period November 2-13, 1979, and compared it to the automatic printout from the vital area card reader system.

MC 81139B Vital Area Access Control On November 14, 1979 the inspector observed each vital door indicated in the approved security plan and found each door frame to be provided with an astragal as indicated in the licensee's letter of. 0ctob'er 15, 1979. to Region II.
