Instrumentation Schedule Update

Dear Mr. Stolz:

Your January 14, 1987 letter (lCNA018707) provided your Safety Evaluation of the proposed instrumentation for detection of ICC per NUREG-0737, Item II.F.2 and requested our schedule for providing the implementation letter report. The purpose of this letter is to provide a schedule update for the milestones given in enclosure 3 of your January 14, 1987 letter.

Attachment 1 to our March 18, 1986 letter (1CAN038604) provided the ANO-1 ICC milestone schedule. This schedule remains valid for the milestones which have not yet been completed (including the implementation letter report).

As the ANO-1 seventh refueling outage (1R7) has been completed, we are now able to assign a due date for submittal of the implementation letter report.

The updated milestone schedule is provided as Attachment 1 to this letter.

Very truly yours, J. Ted Enos, Manager Nuclear Engineering and Licensing JTE/MJS/sg Attachment g%
