SUBJECT:
Delayed Submittal of Two Licensee Event Reports
Dear Dr. Murley:
On March 12, 1986, two Licensee Event Reports were discovered as not having been mailed to the Document Control Desk in a timely manner. The purpose of Chis letter is to provide an explanation of this incident which was immediately reported to the Resident Site Inspectors of each plant'upon. discovery. The reports of concern are:
Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Docket No. 50-277 LER 2-86-04, February 24, 1986 Limerick Generating. Station Docket No. 50-352 LER 86-009, February 26, 1986 The Licensing Section discovered this error by means of internal procedures which have been in use since 1961. The subsequent search found the two original reports,_ which had been misplaced in a "to be copied" hin. The reports were immediately telecopied to the Resident Site Inspectors and mailed to the Document Control Desk. The reports were also telecopied to the Region I Of fice to minimize effects of the delay.
