REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE - Motor Driven Fire Pump Out Of' Service At Peach Bottom Atomic ~ Power Station
REFERENCE:
Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3 Technical Specifications 3.14.A.2 This special report, involving the inoperability of the motor driven fire pump, is being submitted pursuant to the referenced Technical Specification.

' Identification of Occurrence On March 31, 1989, with Unit 2 in cold shutdown and Unit 3 in the refuel mode with:the core offloaded, the motor driven fire pump was out of service in
' excess of.seven days and is reportable pursuant to the referenced Technical Specification, n.
Cause of Occurrence The pump was removed from service on March 24, 1989 to allow the implementation of electrical modifications, which required the motor control center that supplies the motor driven fire pump to be de-energized.
I Actions-Taken The-diesel driven fire pump was verified operable and was. tested every 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> in accordance with Technical Specification 4.14.A.2-.
Plans and Schedule, The electrical modifications hue been completed. The motor driven fire pump was returned to service on April 7, 1989.
