i-Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 April 1 through April 30,1999

l. Narrative Summary of Operatina Experiences Unit 1 began the month of April 1999 at 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

At 18:32 on April 20,1999 a loss of U1 feedwater resulted in a U1 reactor scram. Power was restored to 100% of RTP April 26,1999 at 16:26.

- On April 27* from 0300 to 1705, power was reduced to 85 % to perform a rod pattern adjustment.

On April 27*, from 0418 to 0945, power was further reduced to 60% due to a H2 seal oil low pressure indication.

On April 30*, from 2105 through the end of the month, power was reduced to 85% for a rod pattern adjustment.

II. Challenoes to Main Steam Safety Relief Valves There were no challenges to the' Main Steam Safety Relief Valves during the month of April. There have been no challenges to the Main Steam Safety Relief Valves year-to-date.

1. . Narrative Summarv of Operatino Experiences Unit 2 began the month of April 1999 at 86% rated thermal power (RTP) in end of cycle coast down and ended on April 16,1999 at 80% of RTP.

On April 11,1999 from 14:15 to 18:29 and from 23:00 on April 12,1999 through 0:400 i on April 13, power was reduced to 74% of RTP to place the 2A RFP in Standby for post maintenance testing.  ;

l At 08:05 on April 16,1999 power was reduced for the start of the Unit 2 2R05 refuel outage. The main turbine was tripped at 14:46, and the reactor was manually scrammed at 17:04.
