Issuance of Revision 2 of the Core Operating Limits Report for Unit 1 Cycle 5, Reload 4 Gentlemen:

Enclosed is a copy of Revision 2 of the Core Operating Limits Report (COLR) for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Unit 1, Cycle 5, Reload 4, that was issued on November 18, 1993. This revision is being submitted in accordance with LGS, .

Unit 1 Technical Specifications (TS) Section 6.9.1.12. Revision 1 of this COLR  !

was cancelled prior to issuance, and therefore was not implemented. This revision of the COLR is being issued on a page replacement basis, and page change  ;

instructions are included in the enclosure.  !

Revision 2 of the COLR for LGS, Unit 1, Cycle 5, Reload 4 incorporates updated Minimum Critical Power Ratio (MCPR) operating limits based on an analysis f or increased core flow, i.e., from 105% to 110% of rated core flow, and final t feedwater temperature reduction, i.e., from 60 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. While only some ef the MCPR operating limits associated with the Recirculation Pump Trip and/or inoperable Turbine Bypass Valves have changed, MCPR operating limits associated with nominal operating conditions are unchanged. ,
