1.Schedules arebeinglevelized andrefined2.Commodity production plansarebeingfinalized inaccordance withthelevelized andrefinedschedules.

3.Comprehensive anddetailedworkplans,aswiththeintegrated systemmilestone rescheduling, arebeingdeveloped tofacilitate clearworkplanstosupportrequiredsystemcompletion turnovers inthemostcosteffective andworkeconomizing fashion.4.Aspecialist inthefieldofpipingandrelatedcommodities is~orking.withSWECandotherstoinitiateimprovements tounitratesandbetterworktechniques.

Tomeetourobjectives andgetthisProjectturnedaroundNMPCmetwithSWECManagement andpresented astringent actionplanreouiring significant immediate

-corrective action.Isillbereviewi,ng SWEC'sprogressrelativetothisactionplanwiththeSWEC.ProjectDirectoronaweeklybasisandhavetargetedtheendofAugustasabenchmark tome>sureSWEC'sresponsiveness totheProjectneeds.Asstated,theProjectiscompleting adetailedassessment oftheIntegrated FlushMilestone Schedule.

OnJuly27,1984,NMPCprovidedtheNRCwithastatusreportrelativetoNMPC'scommitments totheConstruction Appraisal Teaminspection report.Severalitemswerenotcompleted bytheJune15,1984,scheduled date;however,mostwerecompleted byJuly27,1984,withthebalancetobecompleted byAugust31,1984.TheCHOCheadquarters manhourscontinued toincreaseduringthisperiod.Thismanagement directedSWECtoimmediately returntotheplannedmanhourcurve.DuringSeptember SWECisscheduled tobeutilizing asystemwhichprovidesweeklyreporting ofmanhourexpenditures.

ThiswillallowtheProjecttomorecloselydetectmanhourove.runsandtakepromptcorrective action.MAJORPROBLEMSThefollowing isan.updatetothemajorproblemsdefineinlastmonth'sreport.l."Ourabilitytocontrolworkwithinschedulerequiressignificant improvement."
