Summaries and Analyses of Results of Activities required by the EPP Section 4.2.1 - Aerial Remote Sensing Pre-Operational infrared photographs were obtained in 1983 and 1984. Operational data was obtained again in 1985, 1986, and 1987. The photographs and report are in Attachment 1, Aerial Remote Sensing. To date, no damage to vegetation in the vicinity of the cooling tower has been observed with infrared photographs.

Section 4.2.2 - Sound Level Survey Operational Sound Level surveys were conducted in 1986 and compared to preoperational data. Noise attributed to cooling tower operation has not exceeded H.U.D. noise level criteria.

The Unit 1 operational winter data are within the ranges measured during the preoperational period. The 2-Unit operational study was not completed in 1987 because of either equipment malfunction or unavailability of 100% operation of both units simultaneously. The study is scheduled to be completed during the summer of 1988. The final report will be submitted with the 1989 AEOR.

The following complaint was received in reference to noise.

Complaint Summary: Resident reported that plant related noises were disturbing him. Described these noise characteristics that he considered a nuisance.

Date: February 20, 1987

1. plant PA system
2. Low steady hum (possibly cooling towers)
3. Loud sudden noise like a jet engine (probably steam vent during a unit trip) 4.2.3 - Fog Monitoring The fog monitoring study report is enclosed. This report concludes the commitment for the fog monitoring required by the Environmental protection Plan. No further studies or investigations are recommended.

5.4.1(1) - EPP Non-Compliance and Corrective Actions There were no EPp Non-Compliance Items identified in 1987.

'. e 5.4.1(2) - Changes in Station Design or Operation t Tests, and Experiments which Involve a Potentially Significant Unreviewed Question There were no changes identified which involved a potentially significant Unreviewed Question.

5.4.1(3) - Nonroutine raports submitted in accordance with subsection 5.4.2 of EPP.

There were no nonroutine events identified.
