Continuation of Item 27 Diesel generator inoperability was due to the jacket water pressure being at normal running pressure which resulted in the control circuitry incorrectly sensing that the diesel was running. Since the diesel was not running, a low lube oil pressure signal was present which caused the control circuitry to prevent the diesel from sutomatically starting. The SJWCP switch appears to have been bumped by workers in the area.

A design change will be initiated to provide'a mechanism for preventing inadvertent operation of the switch, g.- . ,.-
