Enclosed is TVA's fourth quarterly progress report on the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant "Research on Rydrogen Cambustion and Control." This quarterly progress report is an update concerning the schedule, scope of activities, and major progress of activities. A review is provided of IVA's hydrogen programs, the Ice Condenser Owner's Group programs, ard the IDCOR program.

Attached to the quarterly progress report is the Acurex Corporation report FR-81-87-ES, " Catalytic Cmbustion of Hydrogen in the Presence of Methyl Iodide." The Factory Mutual final report concerning the conduct of small scale tests for the interrelationship between droplet size, water concentration, and hydrogen concentration will be transmitted separately as soon as it is available.
