In compliance with Section 6.9, Reporting Requiremeri-ts---f'or the Salem Technical Specifications, the following Monthly Operating Reports for the month of August, 1977 are being sent to you. (Original plus 10 copiesI Appendix B - Average Daily Unit Power Level Appendix C - Operating Data Report Appendix D - Unit Shutdowns and Power Reductions Additional copies of the Monthly Operating Reports are being sent to:

The revised M.D.C. for this unit will be 1079 (MWe - NetI. The ba~is for this value is a circulating water inlet temperature of 77 F. which is the summer rating basis dictated by the P.J.M. interconnection. Manager
