On April 10, 2018, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) submitted to the NRC the Revision 1 of the subsequent license renewal application (SLRA) for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 (Reference 1 ), as well as supplemental information for the SLRA Environmental Report (ER) (Reference 2). The purpose of this letter is to provide, as an attachment to this letter, a supplemental response for Attachment 21 of the Reference 3 letter (NRC RAI Number SS-FWS-2).

This supplemental response documents a historical indigo snake event that FPL discussed with the NRC staff on November 13, 2018 (Reference

4) to inform their biological assessment.

Captured individuals are measured, weighed, sexed and released." Please provide a copy of these surveys. c) Please describe the occurrence patterns of eastern indigo snakes on the Turkey Point site, including time periods, situations, or locations where the species is most likely to occur. d) Please describe any activities FPL conducts to minimize impacts to eastern indigo snakes on site. Please clarify whether such measures would be expected to continue during the period of extended operations.

FPL Supplemental Response:

This response supplements FPL's August 8, 2018 RAI response (Attachment 21 of Reference 1; NRC RAI No. SS-FWS-2) with indigo snake biological assessment information discussed during the November 13, 2018 NRC public meeting with FPL (Reference 2). This information pertains to a deceased indigo snake found in the Everglades Mitigation Bank (EMB) on September 14, 2007. 1) Did FPL contact the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in addition to the state agency? Yes, FPL contacted Eddie McKissick with the USFWS Miami field office at approximately 1100 hours0.0127 days <br />0.306 hours <br />0.00182 weeks <br />4.1855e-4 months <br /> on September 14, 2007. 2) Where did the incident occur within the owner controlled area? The incident occurred outside the owner controlled area within the EMB in the area identified as the crocodile mitigation sanctuary (refer to map on the following page). 3) What activities were occurring when the incident occurred?

The incident occurred during the removal of dead invasive exotic trees within the restoration area. 4) Were the activities authorized under any specific permit or license? The activities were covered under the USAGE permit SAJ-1995-155 (IP-TKW).
