Dear Ms. Adensam:

Safety Evaluation Program for Pumps Report (SER) for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Inservice Testing and Valves. Subsequent to telephone discussions with members of your staff, a meeting was held on July 2, 1985 at NRC's offices to discuss our consnents regarding the SER and to resolve concerns discussed in the previous telephone conversations. As a result of the' meeting, we agreed to provide' additional information and where applicable, revised pages to the IST Program previously submitted.

However, because of the extensive agreement reached in the July 2, 1985 meeting, it was necessary to revise the IST submittal previously provided to you. The revised program is provided in enclosure 1. Enclosure 1 also includes a sununary of revisions to indicate the nature of the changes to each section affected by the revision. Enclosure 2 provides an item-by-item response to the SER as a supplement to the IST program.

If you have any questions regarding this subject, please call Jerry Wills at FTS 858-2683.

Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY
