Environmental Event Report 79-07 Cooling Tower Operations - August Under TS B-5.4.2. A, we are furnishing two copies of this Environmental Event Report covering operation of the plant circulating water system in the partial recycle mode with daily average blowdown flow in excess of 150 cfs.

Daily average blowdown flow in excess of 150 cfs was required for each day (except for August 1) during the month of August. Excess blowdown flows ranged from a low of 183 cfs on August 15 to a high of 866 cfs on August 6.

The daily blowdown flow rate average for the month was 423 cfs.

The higher flows were required to maintain cooling water ini.. cemperatures at less than 850F.
