DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Supplemental Information Related to NRC Bulletin 79-14 Consideration of Torsional Moments in Pinine Modifications This letter is provided in respouse to a June 12, 1989 request from the NRC Staff for information regarding the inclusion of torsional moments in future Prairie Island piping modifications.

All future piping modifications will be designed to account for torsional moments when calculations of stresses due to occasional loads are performed.

We will ensure that the addition of torsional moments will not cause stresses due to occasional loads to exceed Updated Safety Analysis Report stress allowables.

Please contact us if you have any further questions related to Prairie Island piping analyses.
