The attached 10 CFR 21 interim report is submitted in accordance with 10 CFR Part 21, Reporting of Defects and Noncompliance, Section 21 (a)(2), which requires"if an evaluation of an identified deviation or failure to comply potentially associated with a substantial safety hazard cannot be completed within 60 days from discovery of the deviation or failure to comply, an interim report is prepared and submitted to the Commission".

A power supply, procured for use in the Nuclear Instrument System (NIS)source ranges (SR), when drawn from stock and placed in NIS SR channel N-31, did not work properly when installed in the-25 VDC slot.However, the power supply functioned properly when installed in the+25 VDC slot.This power supply is expected to function properly in both the positive and negative slots.It is not known whether this was a deviation present since receipt from the vendor, or was initiated during installation activities at Ginna Station (and not a deviation).
