Dear Sir:

The enclosed transmittal is to provido notification of a design error made when upgrading the Post Accident Filter Duct Buttorfly Valve Solenoids. The Catalytic, Inc. design specification call for the wrong failure position for these solonoids. Testing of this system detected the error and the colonoids were replaced within ten days. Rotesting verified that the proper solenoids are installed.

At no timo during this evolution was the plant in a modo requiring the Post Accident Filter System to be operable.
