SUMMARY
The unit was placed on line on April22, 1999 following refueling and maintenance.
A reactor trip occurred when Instrument 8t Control Technicians removed fuses from the wrong power range nuclear instrument channel while another was defeated.
The unit was placed on line on April23, 1999. A second reactor trip occurred on April27, 1999 when a reactor protection system bistable failed while another channel was defeated for calibration.
The unit was placed on line on April 29, 1999 and power was slowly increased for fuel conditioning for the remainder of the month.
