Dear Sir:

During an USNRC exit meeting conducted by Mr. E.R. Schweibinz at Marble Hill on January 4, 1980, a committent was made to have the PSI Appendix B Quality Assurance Manual issued on January 23, 1980 (reference: Inspection Report Item 79-18-03). Subsequently, on January 17, 1980, this date was extended to January 25, 1980 and concurred in by telecon from Mr. R. Turner, PSI QA Manager to Mr. Schweibinz, USNRC.

Due to nucerous comments resulting from internal reviews, each of which must be resolved, PSI was not able to prepare the final copy for approval by January 25, 1980. We therefore request an extension until February 8, 1980 for release of this manual. This extension was discussed with Mr. Schweibinz by telephone on January 22, 1980 by Mr. Turner and preliminarily agreed to be acceptable.
