Dear Mr. Keppler:

In response to two (2) of the five (5) items in the subject Generic Letter, Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) has tentatively identified the following requests for site visits to conduct operator licensing examinations:

Item (1) Initial (cold) license examinations for units applying for operating licenses.

Reply: Based on a Unit One fuel load date of June, 1986, PSI tentatively plans to schedule these examinations for March through May of 1986. These exams will therefore be requested about the middle of 1985. This licensing examination request will be for approximately fifty (50) to sixty (60) candidates.

Item (2) Initial license examinations to extend licenses to a second, identical unit after initial licensing. !

Reply: Based on a Unit Two fuel load date of Dec'mber, e 1987, PSI tentatively plans to schedule a (hot) license examination and an examination to extend licenses from Unit One to Unit Two in October or November 1987.

These exams will therefore be requested in early 1987.

In addition, PSI will submit the Licensed Operator and Requalification Training Programs to the NRC for review in late 1985.
