Dear Mr. Denton:

Public Service Ccmpany of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) hereby surrenders Construction Permit Nos. CPPR-170 and 171 for the Marble Hill Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2.

All construction-related activities at the site have been halted. Site activities have been conducted in accordance with my letter to you of January 18, 1984. The attachment provides a stmmary of those activities PSI will conduct to stabilize the site.
