Theinformation wasobtainedonAugust5,1996.INTHECASEOPABASICCOMPONENT WHICHCONTAINSADEFECTORFAILSTOCOMPLY,THENUMBERANDLOCATIONOFALLSUCHCOMPONENTS INUSEAT,SUPPLIEDFOR,QRBEINGSUPPLIEDFORGINNASTATION:Therearefour(4)FVpumpslocatedintheScreenhouse BuildmgatGinnaStation.The"D"SWpumphaditsoriginalmotorreplacedinAugust,199S,withamotormanufactured byU.S.Eectrical Motors.Thsmotorwastestedsatisfactorily atthattimeandhasoperatedtrouble-free since.Three(3)moremotors,ofsimilardesigntothe"D"S%pumpmotor,wereprocuredbyaseparatepurchaseorder.Twoofthesemotorswerediscovered tobedefective andhavebeenrefurbished.

Oneoftherefurbished motorshasbeeninstalled.

THECORRECTIVE ACTIONWHICHHASBEEN,ISBKNG,ORWILLBETAKEN;THENAMEOFTHEINDIVIDUAL ORORGANIZATION RESPONSIBLE FORTHEACTION;ANDTHELENGTHOFTIMETHATHASBEENOR%'ILLBETAKENTOCOMPLETETHEACTION:The"A"SWpumpremainedinoperable untBthedefective motorwasremoved,refurbished, reinstalled, andsatisfactorily tested.Thus,corrective actioniscompletefoxtheinstalled motor.Similarcorrective actionshavebeencompleted foroneofthesparemotors.Thesimilarmotor,installed asthe"D"SWpumpmotorinAugust,199S,hasshownnosignsofmotordegradation.

However,thismotorwillberemovedandreplacedbyarefurbished sparemotorbyNovember, 1996.Themotor(retnoved fromthe"D"SWpump)andtheothersparemotorwilldisassembled andinspected, andrefurbished, ifnecessary, priortouse.Rochester Gas4ElectricGinnaStatioitmaintenance depanment willberesponsible fortheseactions.
