SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-508/98-201

Dear Mr. Coleman:

This letter refers to the inspection conducted on October 27-28,1998, at your Washington

Nuclear Project Unit 3 facility. The inspection included a review of activities to terminate

the Construction Permit No. CPPR-154 for your facility. The enclosed report presents the

results of that inspection.

Various aspects of your safety program were inspected ircluding selective examinations of

procedures and representative records, and interviews with personnel. Based on the

results of _this inspection, no significant safety issues were identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter

and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
