-. Pipe Clamps At WNP-3 l
cAfter the start of construction of WNP-3, we were notified of certain defi-ciencies in the' design.of the ITT/Grinnell Figure 215 type stiff clamps to safety-related' piping systems at WNP-3.. To resolve.these concerns, ITT/Grinnell modified the original clamp design.- Through the review of the modified design
.and the responses'to extensive questions, we have determined that this.
type of clamps are acceptable for use and' application in safety-related piping systems.at WNP-3. Our associated Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
This Safety Evaluation can be consolidated with the Draft Safety Evaluation Report which was submitted to you by letter dated November 19, 1985.
