The NRC has completed a detailed review, inspection, and verification of the

subject module which you submitted to the NRC on June 1.1987. Periodic

inspectiont were conducted at the WNP-3 site while the Module C3-02 activities

were in progress, and the resultant findings were discussed with moders of

your staff at the conclusion of those inspections. Technical reviews were also

conducted in NRC Region V and Bethesda offices, and the findings from those

reviews have also been discussed with your staff in conjunction with the field

inspections. The NRC Inspection Reports which document the reviews are

identified in the enclosed report.

Areas contained in the module which were reviewed, examined, and verified are

identified in' the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection

verification consisted of selected examinations of procedures and

representative records, discussions with personnel, observation of activities

associated licensing commitments.

The results of our reviews and inspections are sunnarized in the enclosed
