SUMMARY OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2017, MEETING WITH INDIANA MICHIGAN POWER COMPANY REGARDING DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 (CAC NOS. MG0205 and MG0206) On September 21, 2017, a Category I public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Indiana Michigan Power Company (l&M, the licensee) via teleconference. This meeting was open to members of the public. No regulatory decisions were made at this meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a planned license amendment request (LAR) for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP), Unit Nos. 1 and 2. The licensee intends to submit a request for relocation of the technical support center (TSC). This meeting was rescheduled from September 13, 2017, due to staff availability. The original meeting notice and agenda, dated August 30, 2017, is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML 17242A 134. A list of attendees is provided as Enclosure 1. The meeting handouts are provided as Enclosure 2. The licensee presented information regarding their newly built TSC. As compared to the existing TSC, the new TSC is an additional 4 minute walk from the control room, approximately. The licensee stepped through the major points for TSCs in Section 2 of NUREG-0696, "Functional Criteria for Emergency Response Facilities," dated February 1981 (ADAMS Accession No. ML051390358), as it relates to the CNP TSC. The licensee described changes and enhancements in the areas of function, location, staffing and training, size, structure, habitability, communications, instrumentation, data system equipment, and power supplies, technical data and data systems, records availability and management.   • The licensee described their dose calculations with respect to habitability.
