              " inadequate Procedure For The Inspection of Safety Related Electrical Cables"
 
===RESPONSE===
Duke Power Company revised inspection program for electric cables is as follows:
A. OC Random inspection of Inprocess Work.
Inspection surveillance is performed by QC Inspectors of craft activities which include stripping of wires, application of lugs, proper usage of tools, verification of tightness of connections and proper terminations.
B. Surveillance of Circuit Testing.
A construction procedure is used by the electrical craf tsman to give guidelines for checking out electrical circuitry for compliance with Design requirements prior to energizing the systeni. Surveillance is performed to assure compilance.
C. QC Termination Inspection Af ter system checkout QC will inspect all Nuclear Safety Related terminations ( which were not previously checked during installation i.e. stress' conis, plugs and motor connections) for proper installation, Revisions to circuitry af ter checkout will be controlled under Duke Power QA Procedure H-9 1
