SHUTDOWN TO REPAIR RECIRCULATION CONTROL SYSTEM On February 6, 1987, the licensee shut down Unit 1 to repair a crack in a weld in the hydraulic control system for the IB reactor recirculation system flow control valve. The leak had been identified February 4,1987.
The repair was completed, and the reactor returned to operation on February _9,1987. The licenste is planning increased monitoring for the IB recirculation pump because of-an abnormal noise detected previously in the pump.
The State of Illinois will be notified.
