SUBJECT:

Duane Arnold Energy Center Docket No: 50-331 Op. License No: DPR-49 Letter, Wilson (IES) to Martin (NRC) dated 4/26/95, NG-95-1594 Annual Radioactive Material Release Report (January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994)

FILE: A-ll8e, NRC-7a D;ar Mr. Miller:

Please find enclosed a correction to the Annual Radioactive Material Release Report for the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Unit No. 1, for the period January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994 (NG-95-1594). During a recent internal Quality Assurance Audit, an crror was discovered in the table of Gaseous Effluents By Calendar Quarter located on page 5 of the report. The values for Argon-41 and Tritium for both the 3rd and 4th calendar quarters were inadvertently switched. A review of the Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report for 1994 was conducted to ensure that dose calculations were not affected. The review verified that correct values were used for the dose calculations.

In addition to the correction described above, it was recommended by the Quality Assurance cuditors that the format of the table of Gaseous Effluents By Release Point located on p:ge 6 of the report be modified to include three significant digits. Therefore, this tcble has been updated and included with the corrected Calendar Quarter table.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me at (319) 851-7568 or Rob Leib at (319) 851-7605.

Sincerely, D - K-Gary D. VanMiddlesworth Plant Manager - Nuclear s
