In Reference 2, IES Utilities notified the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation of the completion of the inerger between IES Industries Inc., WPL Holdings, Inc., and Interstate Power Corporation which resulted in the formation of a new holding company, Interstate Energy j Corporation, for IES Utilities Inc. As indicated in Reference 3, although the legal name of the holding company was Interstate Energy Corporation, the holding company was doing business as Alliant Corporation. The stockholders voted, on May 19,1999, to change the name of the holding company from Interstate Energy Corporation to Alliant Energy Corporation. There have been no changes in organizational structure or ownership from that previously submitted. IES Utilities Inc. remains an owner and the operator of the Duane Arnold Energy Center.
