This letter transmits change 2 ?o the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) Security Plan.
The changes are intended to :mhance the capability of the on site security force to defend against the Design Basis Threat.
This Security Plan Change (SPC-40) has been reviewed in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p). We have determined that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the DAEC Security Plan. A description of the changes is included in Attachment I and our evaluation is included in Attachment 2 to this letter. The revised i Security Plan is included as Attachment 3. _
