Dear Mr. Gipson:

. As a result of a review of our records, we found a duplication of costs charged for an inspection -l conducted at the Fermi 2 site. The inspection report (IR) number is 1997011 and the costs I were billed during the first quarter of FY 1998. Detroit Edison paid $273,198 by FEDWIRE '

808444-A5 for Invoice RS0067-28. The February 7,1998, second quarter Invoice RS0182-98 sent to Detroit Edison also included costs for IR #1997011 and was paid by FEDWIRE 811926A06 in the amount of $197,630. '

The correction to invoice RS0067-98 to deduct the duplicated inspection costs reduced the amount of the invoice by $85,437.50, copy attached. Therefore the amount over collected will

. be transferred to Detroit Edison within 10 days from the date of this letter.
