ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO.16 FOR THE ENRICO FERMI ATOMIC POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 - TO ALLOW POSSESSION OF NOMINAL AMOUNT OF SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL (TAC NO. L51676)
Dear Mr. Gipson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued the enclosed Amendment No.16 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-9 for Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant, Unit 1 (Fermi 1)
(Enclosure 1). The amendment consists of a change to the Fermi i license in response to your application dated July 17,1998.
The amendment revises the Fermi I License to allow possession of nominal amount of special nuclear material. A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed (Enclosure 2). The notice of issuance (Enclosure 3) will be included in the NRC's next regular biweekly Federal Recister notice.
