SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/98-02
Dear Mr. Maynard:
From February 2 to 6,1998, a team inspection of your engineering, maintenance, and
emergency preparedness training programs was conducted at your Wolf Creek Generating
Station facility. During the exit meeting, the results of this inspection were discussed with
Mr. C. Warren and other members of your staff. The enclosed report presents the scope and
results of that inspection.
The inspection used the guidance contained in inspection Procedure 41500 and NUREG-1220,
Revision 1, " Training Review Criteria and Procedures." During this inspection, the inspectors
found your training programs for maintenance, engineering, and emergency preparedness
satisfactory. Your training programs effectively addressed the reviewed areas of evaluation of
trainee mastery and program feedback.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its !
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (POR). I
