Sec. 5.3.1 add the following:

If the preparer and approver decide that another request is required the preparer may prepare a QA/QC-RT- --- memorandum describing the inadequacy of the initial TIR response and what additional information is required.

The memorandum will be clearly identified as a continuation of the original TIR and will be processed through the Records Administrator in the same manner as TIRs. The memorandum will be approved in the same manner as a TIR prior to issuance.

Sec. 5.3.2 change the second para. to read:

The Records Administrator maintains the Information Request file (marked XXX- [ applicable ISAP No.}) and denotes applicable requests " Superseded by TIR-XXX" or continued by memorandum QA/QC-RT-XXI, dated XX-XI-XX.

The Records Administrator will file a copy of the memorandum with the original TIR and process as if the memorandum were a TIR.
