All safety-related attributes for conduit, except conduit fabrication.-

4 are inspected in QI-008. The attribute for conduit fabrication would have been examined in QI-009; exes;t that the. inspection of conduit i

fabrication is done on a surveillance basis, which is common industry practice, and the IR's associated with these inspections are written to t document only that the surveillance was performed. The conduit numbers -

are not recorded on these IR's and, therefore, the identification of the 4

conduits which were inspected during fabrication cannot be determined.  ;

However, the adequacy of conduit fabrication will be evaluated in the 'i conduit report based on data from the cable damage attribute of the -

. cable population. '

s Because document reviews do not obtain information that can be used  ;

relative to the adequacy of conduit fabrication, QI-009, all references '

and information relating,to QI-009, and all packages inspected to this document review QI are hereby cancelled.
