All safety-related attributes for conduit, except conduit fabrication.-

are inspected in QI-008. The attribute for conduit fabrication would 4

have been examined in QI-009; exes;t that the. inspection of conduit fabrication is done on a surveillance basis, which is common industry i

practice, and the IR's associated with these inspections are written to t

document only that the surveillance was performed. The conduit numbers -

are not recorded on these IR's and, therefore, the identification of the conduits which were inspected during fabrication cannot be determined.

However, the adequacy of conduit fabrication will be evaluated in the conduit report based on data from the cable damage attribute of the cable population.

s Because document reviews do not obtain information that can be used relative to the adequacy of conduit fabrication, QI-009, all references and information relating,to QI-009, and all packages inspected to this document review QI are hereby cancelled.
