DIABLO CANYON DESIGN VERIFICATION PROGRAM - COMMENTS ON AID REVIEW 0F PHASE II IDVP

'N The Teledyne program management plan for Phase II of the Diablo Canyon IDVP was submitted by letter dated June 18, 1982 and is currently under staff review.

Attached are the comments on the Phase II plan received from the Joint Intervenors and from the Governor of California. Also attached are memoranda from the Office of Inspection and Enforcement, Region V, and the Division of Engineering that respond to a request by the Division of Licensing for comments on the adequacy of the scope of Phase I of the IDVP with respect to reinstatement of the LP license.

The information is provided for your consideration in the review of the Phase II plan.

We request that you provide us with your comments and recommendation regarding the acceptability of the Phase II plan by August 19, 1982.
