The Attorney General's Counsel in The Environmental Enforcement Section is correct that your testimony will be welcomed at the Davis-Besse low level radioactive waste infonnal proceedings. As you are aware, the strike at the plant has prevented Counsel from preparing the case so that we are presently in a holding pattern. After the strike is settled, I estimate only a short time before the hearings will begin.

I will provide several periods for limited appearance statements.

This Office will apprise you of the new hearing dates and and ensure public notice is distributed to the news organizations in your state. You do not need to do anything further to be able to present your testimony at the hearings.

I appreciate that you will share your views on the matters under discussion in these public hearings.
