p O 3. 3 Monitor and Control Suppression Pool temperature by performing the following:

'r 3.1.1 Attempt to shut all SRVs which are not required by reducing Rx rectre, flow. .

i 3.3,2 IF the recire, flow is at a minimum ANO the SRV Fimainsopen, l EEN scram the Rx. l CAUTION ,

If continued LPCI is required to assure adequate core cooling, do  !

not divert LPCI pumps from the injection mode. l 3.3.3 Initiate Suppression Pool cooling (OP 322) before Suppression Pool temperature (CRP 903) reaches 90'F. ,

3.3.4 BEFORE Sul,pression Pool temperature (CRP 903) reaches 110'F for any reason,  !

O THEN scram the reactor per ONP 502 "Emergency Plant Snutdown".

3.3.5 IF any control rod is not inserted beyond position l 6I, and Suppression Pool temperature (CRP 903) '

reaches 110*F,  !

THEN GO TO E0P 572 "Rx Power control" step 3.5 and perform concurrently with this procedure.

........................................................................ )

l CAUTION  !

Cooldown rates greater than 100*F/hr may t,e required to accomplish steps 3.3.6 and 3.3.7 CAUTION Observe NPSH requirements for pumps taking a suction from the Suppression Pool. If it can be determined that Dry ell pressure (CRP 925, PR 1602-9) did not exceed 10 psig at anytime, then use the NPSH requirement curves for non LOCA condition (see Figures Ic and id, Page 12b), othenvise use the curves for LOCA condition (see Figures la and ib, Page 12a).
