Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Dis is to inform you by telecopy of an Ahaonaal Occurrence that was noted on August 23, 1975 at Surry Nuclear Poirer Station.

With Unit 1 operating at approximately 100 per cent power, it was found that one channel of AT protection was unconservative due to the failure of a resistance temperature detactor.
