noted on July 6, 1975 at Surry Nuclear Power Station.

During full power W;, - J. '

operation on Unit No. 2, a reactor trip occurred caused by the sudden

'I closure of the trip valve in "B" main steam line followed by the closure QN of "A" and "C" n.ain steam line trip valves.

Testing following the trip t#G h0' N@h revealed that the main steam trip valves in "A" and "C" steam lines would not close.

An investigation is currently underway to detereine the cause of the malfunction and corrective action to be taken.
