DOCKET NO. 50-219 l
The attached report of inspections at t:he subject facility over a period from April 17, 1968 through September 20, 1968, is forwarded for review.
i As you are aware, this is,the second of a series of three reports to cover observations made during the subject inspection period.
The third report will be issued within a couple of l
weeks.
Current indications are that the issues presented here as still being outstanding will be appropriately resolved before
" finding" time.
Regarding your memorandum relating to emergency condenser failures (dated April 29, 1968), and the request that appropriate checks be made at BWR's under construction, it would seem that this could more appropriately be covered by DRL, especially for future machines.
One cut-off point might be that CO cover those machines with construction permits, as of some point in time (relate to date of CO contact with DRL), and that DRL handle all others.
