Generic Letter 89-04, " Guidance on Developing Acceptable Inservice Testing Programs," dated April 3, 1989, approved currently submitted IST relief requests for licensees who have not received a Safety Evaluation Report (SER), provided that within six months of the date of G.L. 89-04 confirmation of their conformance with the positions stated in the generic letter is submitted to the NRC.
Since our SER has not been received for ANO-1, Arkansas Power & Light Company intends to submit a' response to G.L. 89-04. Although a draft respont.e has been prepared, we request an additional two weeks to finalize l our reply to allow for further engineering and management review ar.d to ensure the clarity of technical information. We anticipate that our response can be submitted on October 23, 1989.
