Dear Mr. Keppler:

As further clarification of discussions between Mr. F. Hawkins of your office and percennel at the Marble Hill Site on the cethod of evaluation of in-place concrete as it pertains to curfaces which are inaccessible due to backfilling, Public Service Ccepany of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) plans to address such surfaces in the following manner:

A special process procedure, SPP-5, " Category I Concrete Surface Irregularities" will be used to identify patches and repair areas on visible Category I concrete surfaces. After Category I verk begins the patches which have been identified will be examined and an engineering evaluation of the patched and repair areas perforced.

Based on the results of these inspections and evaluations, conclusions sdll be drasm on the condition of surfaces inaccessible due to backfilling.
