Technician Received our daily FSS briefing and safety briefing. M. Bresnahan SDJ / NJJ Covered the instructions for FSS in LSA 05-02, including GWS, Survey And soil sampling instruction Performed daily instrument source check for the 2221BB and2221DD and2360I. All meters successfully passed the source check. Assembled GWS packs and proceeded to LSA 05-02 area to prepare our daily work assignments.
Conducted Non-soil survey of Curb, Storm Drain and Drain Pipe using Using 2360I and smears. All readings documented on survey map. No Elevated areas were noted on the surfaces of the items surveyed. All surveys conducted in accordance with FSS Plan and Instructions for Survey area & Unit LSA 05-02. See Surveys 3063 C 130814, 3064 C 130814, 3065 C 130814, 3066 C 130814 for further information. N. Jordan performed GWS on area in 05-03 that was previously used as a load out area during excavation. one elevated area noted during walkover. Location was flagged and location stored in GPS for further investigation. Data was downloaded and sent to GIS for map processing and S. Price for data analysis. See survey 3051 C 130813 for further information.
Scraped and swept footer in LSA 05-02 in preparations for survey. painted One meter grids on footer in accordance with survey instructions.
Preparations made for isolation & control of LSA 05-03, including installing T-Posts and safety caps, repairs ofconstruction fence and general housekeeping of the area.
Performed post source check of all FSS meters. 2221meters passed successfully.
2360 "r' failed Beta three consecutive times. All Survey data from the non-soil Survey is null and void. will have to repeat the survey process another day.

Performed daily instrument source check for the 2221BB and222l DD and2360 L All meters successfully passed the source check and results annotated in daily source check log. Assembled GWS packs and proceeded to barn area access shack near LSA 05-02 area to prepare for our daily work assignments.
N. Jordan and S. Jenkins performed a repeat non-soil survey of footer area Within LSA 05-02. The survey performed on 8/13 was deemed void because the 2360 used failed post use source check. The non-soil of Curb, Storm Drain and Drain Pipe using using 23608 and D and smears. All readings documented on survey map. No elevated areas were noted on the surfaces of the items surveyed. All surveys conducted in accordance with FSS Plan and Instructions for survey area & Unit LSA 05-02.

08ll5ll3 0720 Dump trucks arrived at bam area to deliver clean backfill soil for LSA 05-01 FSS operations. Work in LSA 05-02 was halted to provide job coverage for dump truck delivery in 05-01. N. Jordan assigned to cover dump truck operations.
08/15/13 0830 S. Jenkins and S. Price began investigationatlocalized elevated area that was found during walkover of 05-03 former soil load out area. Bounding investigation samples were taken. See survey 3081 C 130815 for sample information. Soil was hand excavated at highest reading locations and spoils were moved to 05-01 using a wheelbarrow.
08/15/13 0845 N. Jordan began GWS of area parallel with State Highway P across the northern section of LSA 05-02. Created GPS file LSA_0502_BB_081513.
